Draped across sun-drenched terraces above Lake Geneva, the Lavaux vineyards stretch over 30 kilometres between Lausanne and Montreux. Cultivated since the 11th century and awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 2007, this landscape is one of the most extraordinary in Switzerland, and one of the least explored by visitors who don’t know where to look.

The journey begins in Vevey, right on the lakefront. The iconic Giant Fork rising from the waters of Lake Geneva sets the tone before the road climbs into the vines.

From there, the route winds up to the Chexbres viewpoint, one of the most celebrated panoramas in the region. The entire Lavaux vineyard unfolds below, framed by the lake and the French Alps on the opposite shore.

You then pass through the wine villages of Épesses, Riex and Grandvaux, where centuries-old stone walls hold up steep Grand Cru terraces and the views open to a full 180 degrees. These are the lanes that most visitors never find.

The descent brings you to the Lavaux Vinorama in Rivaz, the region’s premier wine showcase perched above the lake. Here you discover a curated selection of Chasselas AOC and Lavaux reds, tasted face-to-face with the Alps. Tastings are settled directly on site.
